How do I book a lessons ?
First: Please contact me using the contact form and I will get back to you asap.
Then: We will arrange a time for your first lessons - ( Your first lessons is at a discounted price )
Finally: Lessons are booked in blocks of 6 weeks - this is basically so I can manage my teaching time effectively and so we can plan out what you wish to achieve by the end of the 6 weeks.

What happens If I need to cancel a lessons ?
I completely understand that for one reason or another you may need to cancel a lesson at some time, this shouldn't be a problem at all. However, all I ask is that you please give me some notice. Without 48 hours notice (2 days) I will still require some part payment for my time. This is simply because my teaching time is valuable.

Over 48 Hours notice = No problem (I will be able to rearrange my time table)
Less that 48 hours notice = Please pay me 1/2 of your lessons rate as a cancealation fee.

Will I teach at your home ?
Yes, however it does depend on where you live and there maybe a small additional charge for time and petrol.

What will I teach you ?

I am a real believer that if you learn some basic principles of music that you can then advance much easier and faster in the future and even get to a stage where you can teach yourself. I am really keen to help students learn open chords, bar chords, some scales and some basic theory - from this we can build on stylised playing such as blues and jazz, appegios, rhythm work, and loads more.

To be honest though it does depend on what you want to learn. Some people just want to play chords to sing songs, some people want to learn finger style guitar playing, some people want to learn how to do lead guitar solo's, some people want to learn how to play their favourite rock riffs. What ever you want to do I can help !

knowing what to play is half the battle, but tobecome a relaxed guitarist with your own style takes lots of practice. I recommend that students practice 10 minutes ever day rather than 2 hrs on sunday - although this will have an effect on you playing a little practice everyday will make a far greater difference (even 15 minutes every other day is better that loads on work in one day).

Just use the contact form if you wish to get in touch. Have fun !

Bass Guitar Lessons

What do I teach ?
As above really - I love my theory. As a bassist this is where you can really shine - key to being a great bassist is knowing where your root, 3rds, 5ths and 7ths are - and all the others in between ! I can also teach you famous bass riffs and tracks. The main thing however I belive makes a great bassis in good timing and discipline - and definately holding back on over playing - less is often more as a bass player - I love bass - check out the vids here.
